Difference between Smart Plug Mini 2 and Smart Plug Relax

Modified on Thu, 6 Nov at 2:54 PM

Both plug types are designed to monitor power consumption and detect the use of electrical appliances, but they serve slightly different purposes.

Smart Plug Mini 2

The Mini 2 plug can both measure power consumption and turn the connected device on or off.
This version is ideal if you want to control power manually or remotely, for example to switch off a coffee machine or lamp when it’s not in use.

Smart Plug Relax

The Relax plug is designed for continuous monitoring only.
It is always on and cannot be switched off through the app. This ensures that the device it monitors, such as a refrigerator or TV, remains powered at all times while still reporting energy use.

Summary

  • Mini 2: Measures usage and can switch on/off
  • Relax: Always on, measures usage only
