How to set up and use the "Deactivation when resident leaves home" service

Modified on Mon, 20 Oct at 1:27 PM

How this service works

The Deactivation when resident leaves home service automatically pauses monitoring when the system detects that the resident has left the home. When the person returns and movement is detected again, the service reactivates automatically.
This prevents unnecessary alarms or notifications being sent while the home is empty.

Activation

The service must be activated before it starts monitoring. Once active, it runs automatically in the background.

Door selection

To function properly, the service must be linked to one or more door sensors. The system detects when a door has been opened and closed, and uses that event to determine when the home is vacated.

Delay configuration

You can define how long the system should wait after a door closes before deactivation occurs. This ensures that brief trips outside do not trigger unnecessary pauses.
