Security guard response

How this service works

The Security Guard response service provides on-site assistance if an alarm from the Independent Living system cannot be confirmed remotely. If the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) and relatives are unable to reach the resident, a professional security guard can be dispatched to the home to ensure that everything is safe.

The service helps provide an additional layer of safety for both residents and relatives by ensuring that help can arrive quickly - even if no one answers the phone.

Included secruty guard call-outs

The Independent Living service includes up to two security guard call-outs per 12 months at no extra cost.
If additional visits are required beyond this limit, they may be charged according to the current price list.

When it is used

A guard response is typically triggered when:

  • The ARC receives an alarm but cannot contact the resident or relatives

  • A potential emergency is suspected, such as a fall, open door, or prolonged inactivity

The guard will perform a physical check of the home, make sure the resident is safe, and report back to the ARC.
