Placement of Gateway and Siren

Modified on Fri, 7 Nov at 2:32 PM

The gateway is the main unit that connects all your sensors and ensures the system operates reliably and securely. It maintains communication between devices and makes sure alerts and data are sent correctly to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).

Gateway placement

  • Place the gateway near the stairs to achieve the best possible coverage between floors.
  • If your home has three floors, it should be installed on the middle floor.
  • Avoid placing it close to large metal objects or behind furniture that may block the signal.

Siren placement

  • The siren should be placed within approximately 5–10 meters of your gateway for optimal communication.
  • Placement near the stairs provides the best coverage between floors.
  • If your home has multiple floors, you should install one siren on each floor to ensure stable signal flow.

Tip

Correct placement of both the gateway and siren helps build a reliable mesh network throughout your home. This improves coverage, ensures faster alerts, and increases overall system reliability.
